After taking a 3 year hiatus since her last album, “Unbreakable Smile” in 2015, Tori Kelly is back with new music in a different direction with her upcoming new album titled “Hiding Place.”
With teasing snippets, Kelly has just released her latest single, “Never Alone,” with Kirk Franklin. With Kelly singing, Franklin offers inspirational words. An Inspirational album is a different route for Kelly, considering she made her introduction and mark in the industry through Pop music. However, Kelly may have found the market for her. Kelly has previously made statements about how the industry has tried to change her, even people who have worked with her. This new sound is more about spreading love and self-assurance.
“I’ve cried many rivers/ I’ve walked through some pain/ I’ve seen my world crumble/ And I’ve carried the shame/ But I know somebody, He calls me His own/ I can hear heaven singing out/ Oh-oh-oh, you’re never alone/ Oh-oh-oh, you’re never alone”
Listen to the song here, and watch the video for “Never Alone” below. Her new album, “Hiding Place,” is set to come out September 14th, 2018.
