TJ Jackson has dropped the first song and video off his upcoming Last Night EP with “Insomnia.” While a part of a famous musical family, Jackson is earning his spot and showcasing his artistry.
Jackson co-wrote “Insomnia” with David Thulin and Rhyan Shirley, while Thulin produced it. The video was shot in Paris, which helped Jackson capture the entire mood of the track with model Stella Kimberly.
“Paris was the perfect place to shoot my video because the love and energy in this beautiful city is contagious,” stated Jackson. “I believe sexuality is healthy and this song exudes a euphoric energy that allows your mind, body and soul to surrender to it. I wanted to portray that in its purest form and my amazing directors were able to capture it visually.”
“Baby, you got me delirious/ Up all night, can’t help but smile/ All this time, You’re still the only one/ My piece of heaven, I swear you’re too good to be real/ Insomnia, just you and me/ Insomnia, no need for sleep/ So happy I, can’t tell if/ I’m, living or dreaming, It’s beautiful”
While musically inclined, Jackson has a business degree from the Wharton School of Business. Not only does he understand the music, but the business as well.
This is not Jackson’s first time in the musical world. At 16, he formed the group 3T with his brothers, and became an international success. They surpassed Boyz II Men and Babyface in overseas record sales, and ranked second as the biggest-selling group in Europe in 1997 behind the Spice Girls.
