While beginning her solo career working with Khalid, Quavo, Calvin Harris, and Wiz Kid, Normani is set to makes more “Waves” in the R&B game.
In her latest solo music venture, Normani and 6lack release a new single, “Waves,” which she debuted on the Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show. While speaking on the latest track with 6lack, she said, “He’s such an important artist, and I’ve been following his journey for a while now, and we’re really big fans of each other.” She added that, “He’s an amazing lyricist, and I feel like he took the record to a whole ‘nother level. I already love the record as is, but he totally exceeded any expectation I even had, which was pretty high, because I admire him as an artist so much.”
Normani also said she’s hoping to drop her debut solo album in the first quarter of 2019.
“First I love you, then I hate you/ I won’t dare try to replace you/ I ain’t crazy, no/ I’m ecstatic then I’m sad/ On a high, then I crash/ ‘Cause you made me so”
