#NewMusic, Remy Ma – Shether, A Response to Nicki Minaj

Remy Ma had to release a track to respond to all the inquiries on Nicki Minaj. After a while of Minaj taking subliminal shots towards Remy, it became clearly she had to dead the issue and issue a response.

Remy said in an interview if she has an issue with a person she’ll put their name in a song, and in the beginning of this song you can hear an audio clip of Minaj saying “Free Remy,” repeatedly. Remy takes plenty of shots at Minaj, claiming she cheated on Safaree with Drake and Trey Songz, saying her numbers are irrelevant because of her deals, and more. She says all this over Nas’ “Ether.”

“Fuck Nicki Minaj/ Are You Dumb?/ You had a leopard beehive on your head… Bitch I told you your whole career I’d come home and kill you right?… Left your day one cause you heard he was on some cheat shit/ Then you got with the dude who told you on some creep shit/ But what happened to Onika? Nah on some G shit/… You disloyal hoochie/ Now all of a sudden you’re back with Drake  and Tunechi?/ After he said you sucked his dick/ Now you’re back with Gucci?”

What cause Remy to snap? It started from the newly released Gucci X Nicki Minaj song “Make Love.” On “Make Love,” Minaj appears to take shots at Ma’s “queen of rap” claims and compares her to a Nokia phone.

“Bitch I’m the greatest, no Kendrick and no Sia / I’m the iPhone, you the Nokia / Everybody know you jealous, bitch it’s so clear / Tell them bum ass bitches to play their role,” Nicki Minaj raps on “Make Love.” “You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap / You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques,” she spits.
