Jay & Tay Drop Video for Single “No More,” Speaking on Hooking Up After The Break Up

(Tallahassee, FL – February 14, 2020) – Jay Lyriq and Tay Dizm, former recording artists for T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment, premiere the music video for their collaboration “No More” today, Valentine’s Day. But “No More” is not a love ballad, it’s a side chick anthem for exes who claim they are over but continue to hook-up when they’ve been drinking. It’s the second track from their forthcoming Jay & Tay EP.

Produced by GRAMMY Award winning an multi platinum songwriter Jimi Kendrix (Jay Z, 50 Cent, Patti LaBelle), “No More” perfectly mixes Jay’s Hard-N-B vocals, Tay’s engaging, raspy flow and Kendrix’s soothing, knocking production. The song and video’s storylines add to the appeal.

“I feel like a lot of people have been in that situation,” Jay says. “I know we both have. That’s why in the bridge I sing, ‘The only time we get along better is if we been drinking.’ Even Tay says in his verse, ‘The liquor wipe away the sins.’ Whatever you’ve done to get that person mad at you, once you start consuming alcohol you are not thinking about that hurt anymore. You’re just thinking about that thing that makes you both feel good.’”

The video stars Sharon Brown, directed by Gregg Bell and produced by Ty Williams, RD Multimedia and Filmrat Productions adds a twist. Jay & Tay are unknowingly seeing with the same woman. “We used the same girl because it happens,” Tay says. “You can look at a lot of people’s situations. It’s just life. When you on that drank it definitely wipes away the sins but when you’re sober you don’t really see anything in that person.”

“No More” follows Jay & Tay’s summertime jam “Work N Play” released last June. The artists who became friends and began working together while signed to T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment are finishing their self-titled EP due this Spring. Tay describes the music as “Real rap, real R&B, real situations. Definitely feel good music. It’s just us being ourselves.”

While Jay Lyriq and Tay Dizm continue to work as solo artists as well, Jay says their “Jay & Tay” project will fill a void in the R&B and hip hop space. “There’s no one doing anything like this,” he says. “The rap songs now are more melody driven, not like the rap from back in the day. Tay’s coming. He’s rapping and I’m singing. As long as we come with the right material, everybody will enjoy it.”
