The vocal bible is back with new music! 25 years after the release of her debut album, Brandy returns with her sentimental single “Freedom Rings.”
Brandy’s debut album ‘Brandy,’ was released on September 27, 1994. Since the beginning, Brandy had the moves, the bops, and the range to do it all. From a young age, having the vocal ability that many wish to achieve is a compliment in itself.
“Freedom Rings” is the first single released on Brandy’s Band Nu Entertainment label, as well as Entertainment One. The R&B great’s new single lets fans in, and Brandy essentially reveals she’s been fighting. Fighting for herself, for her voice, for her freedom (both musical and personal).
“I, gave you all I had, my love, my blood, my sweat, and my/ Time, But you wanted more, I invested these years, these tears, that I/ Cried, You’re concrete, but I rose like a rose, Lord knows I almost/ Died, They tried to chain me, estrange me, run away declaring my freedom rings”
