Watch Mickey Guyton Perform “Black Like Me” on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’

Mickey Guyton made history recently, becoming the first Black female solo artist to earn a Grammy nomination in the Best Country Solo Performance category. Guyton’s song “Black Like Me” is from her Bridges EP, and tells some of her childhood, while reflecting as an adult. Acknowledging difficulties being Black, it’s especially powerful giving the facts she’s singing this message as a Country artist.
