Too Short Says He Has Evidence To Clear His Name From Rape Allegations

Rapper Too Short is denying claims he is in any way involved in a recent sexual assault, regardless of the allegations he was said to be investigated for a rape case that  surfaced Friday from TMZ.

According to TMZ, the alleged victim was the rapper’s protegé.

“Law enforcement tells us, the woman claims on November 1 she was at an L.A. residence with the rapper when he allegedly sexually attacked her. She told cops she’s a virgin and made a point of saying her provocative videos in no way should suggest she gave any form of consent”

However, Short’s people told TMZ a different story. They stated that the woman  was on his record label, until he dropped her, which in part is why she concocted the allegation. The sources add she subsequently asked to get back on the label and Short views this as a form of extortion.

After everything that was put out into the world from the allegations, Short has issued his own statement, claiming his innocence and that he has a lot of evidence to go against the woman’s claims.

Today, I read that I am being investigated for allegedly committing sexual assault. The allegations against me are completely false. Let me be clear, I have NEVER had non-consensual sex with anyone, ever. I have directed my lawyers to vigorously combat these ridiculous claims. I have not been contacted by the LAPD about this matter and doubt I ever will be. If I am, I will direct my lawyers to fully cooperate and turn over 100’s of text messages and other evidence that will prove this woman is falsely accusing me. Thanks for your support.”
