Teyana Taylor just released her latest album, “K.T.S.E.,” to mixed reviews, and rightfully so. Taylor seemed a little confused herself to some regard, but does not blame any one person. Taylor spoke with Big Boy today to discuss her music, stating that the final version of the album is on the way. 

“If I would have really done what I wanted to do with the album, y’all wouldn’t have had it,” says Taylor in the first couple of minutes. Taylor first went on to say she was waiting up with her fans for the album to drop as well. “I would have kept probably teasing with snippets. I just would have preferred to have everything cleared, because; then all my fans had got demo-itis from what they heard from my snippets… Some of the songs were missing verses, it was like missing pre-hooks because a pre-hook may have been a sample, a verse may have had this in or, or this wasn’t in it. So it was just a lot.”

After Taylor discussed that the album wasn’t completed, Big Boy asked the question that everyone wondered.  “Who do we blame that on?”

“I would probably have to blame a little bit of everybody because of the fact we set a date, we had a listening party, and then we had clearance issues. As far as the clearance issues, I don’t know. I feel like everybody plays a part, but I think as far as hurrying up to get it out; it was definitely something we had did for the fans.”

Taylor says we’ll hear the final version either Saturday or Sunday, with pieces with Sade and “Lost Ones.” Listen to “K.T.S.E.” here, and watch the Big Boy interview below.
