Terry Crews Calls Out D.L. Hughley For Past “God Gave You Muscles So You Can Say No” Comment On His Sexual Assault

An unlikely beef has emerged, and it’s between Terry Crews and D.L. Hughley.

Crews called Hughley out on Twitter this Sunday morning after discovering an interview Hughley gave months ago. In the interview, Hughley said that for “a dude with all those muscles,” he found it hard to believe that Crews couldn’t stop the sexual assault on him from the agent. “God Gave You Muscles So You Can Say ‘No'”

Crews first initial response to Hughley was “You told the world ‘God Gave Me Muscles So I Could Say No,” Crews tweeted. “Are you implying that I ‘wanted’ to be sexually assaulted? I’m listening, sir.”

Hughley’s response was “you saw the video!” Which prompted Crews to ask more questions. “Sir you said I should have pushed him back, or restrained him and I DID ALL THOSE THINGS… but you act like I didn’t. Were you there?”

Hughley’s response was simply, “That’s different than slapping the shit outa him.” Which allowed Crews to give the final ending blow to the conversation.

So sir…If you truly feel that is a correct way to deal with toxic behavior… Should I slap the shit out of you?”

Crews went on to address Hughley beyond that point. Stating that at one point, he looked up to him, sharing a memory of Hughley warming up the crowd at Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Crews views on Hughley has changed now, as he stated the following.

“But now you are an example of when comedy turns to sarcasm and cynicism. And you find it extremely easy to get jokes at someone else expense. You mock my success, but all I ever did was support you.”
