andra day

Andra Day was discovered by Stevie Wonder, and that alone attests to her musical ability. Day attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA)while majoring in singing in San Diego, California. She is signed to Warner Brothers Records, and released her debut album in August of 2015, it is entitled “Cheers To The Fall”. Day is featured in Rolling Stone‘s “10 New Artists You Need to Know” for July 2015 article, and the soundtrack of the Netflix original documentary, What Happened, Miss Simone? (a documentary about Nina Simone). Day performed at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games Closing Ceremony on August 2, 2015, and she opened the August and September dates of Lenny Kravitz’ tour earlier this year. Day sound is a very classic, back in the day R&B/Soul. Her sound has elements of Eartha Kitt, Amy Winehouse, and Billie Holiday. Her song “Forever Mine” is off of her debut album “Cheers To The Fall.”
