After the documents were unsealed, the Associated Press was able to receive details in Kelly’s New York charges. Kelly is charged with racketeering and sex-related crimes against women and girls in sweeping New York federal indictment.

According to AP, “the 18-page indictment accuses Kelly and members of his entourage of recruiting women and girls to engage in illegal sexual activity with the singer.” The accusations were talked about in the Surviving R. Kelly docu-series, which dates back to his marriage to a young Aaliyah.

However, they say that Kelly is the only person named in the indictment. The reasons of this have not been stated, especially when multiple people have said his team members have been helping continue with these accused criminal acts. Kelly’s former manager even stated that he helped forge documents for the singer to be able to marry an underaged Aaliyah at the time.

The indictment charges allegedly confirm the rules Kelly had for the girls under his control. the same rules stated in Surviving R. Kelly. Rules including not allowing them to eat or use the bathroom and not permitting them to look at other men and telling them to keep their heads down.
