#NewVideo: Mike Phillips Combines His Band, Quarantine Creativity & Brian McKnight in “Watching You”

Mike Phillips’ latest album Pulling Off The Covers is a unique collection of songs that have inspired him throughout his career. His prior single was the “Flava In Ya Ear” remix featuring Stevie Wonder, PJ Morton, Raheem DeVaughn, Leela James & more. His new single, “Watching You,” features legendary Brian McKnight.

With the help of McKnight, Phillips covers the Watching You” hit from Slave. Phillips, his band, and McKnight honor the original, but make it their own, respectfully. In the video, Phillips and his band perform the song on a sound stage on the West Coast, Brian is inserted with his impassioned vocals from his home on the East Coast.

Check out the video below, and download/stream Phillips’ Pulling Off The Covers album here.
