From one preview on Instagram Live, K. Michelle’s fans have been asking for the artist’s latest single for months, and she has delivered the long-awaited “Wherever The D May Land.”
“Wherever The D May Land” is a carefree, self-assured, single that has K. Michelle rapping as well; reminiscent of K. Michelle during her mixtape era.
Fellow Memphis-born rapper Gloss Up was tapped by K. Michelle for the single, adding a different home touch feel to both artists’ rapping delivery.
“Wherever the dick may land, I ain’t fighting for no man / This shit out my hands, Wherever the dick may land / I ain’t acting for no shit I can buy myself, I don’t need your little money but bitch you gon help / I can pass it to your friend if you don’t know what to do, And nigga we aint got a problem unless the problem is you”
As a nod to K. Michelle’s Country album, the video for “Wherever The D May Land” takes place on a farm, but is still done in true K. Michelle fashion. This is K. Michelle’s second single from her final R&B album.
