#NewMusic: Ari Lennox Sings About Yearning on ‘Get Close’

In her first solo single since finishing the sold-out A/S/L tour, Ari Lennox returns with the intimate “Get Close.”

The melodic and sultry singing style by Lennox on “Get Close” transitions listeners to visualize the story she’s telling of wanting to “get close” to someone in particular.

“You like Tupac, I like Janet / So damn stubborn, I won’t have it / I laugh at it, boobies grab it / Take a road trip, screw the planning / Get close, Get close / Need you close, So close”

The video, with just Lennox and a leading man, depicts a couple in close-knit settings, from cooking to dancing and an argument; but ultimately coming together.
