Mo’Nique Responds To Adrienne Bailon’s Comments: “I’m Fighting For Young Sisters Like You Who Haven’t Won An Academy Award”

Mo’nique responds to the statements made by actress/television host Adrienne Bailon (Houghton). While on “The Real,” the topic of Mo’nique adding Tyler Perry and Oprah as people, who along with Lee Daniels, had allegedly black-balled her after “Precious.” Bailon made the comment that just because you’re loud, doesn’t mean you’re right, or keeping it real.

HOLLYWOOD – MARCH 07: (EDITORS NOTE: NO ONLINE, NO INTERNET, EMBARGOED FROM INTERNET AND TELEVISION USAGE UNTIL THE CONCLUSION OF THE LIVE OSCARS TELECAST) Actress Mo’Nique, winner of Best Supporting Actress award for “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire,” poses in the press room at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards held at Kodak Theatre on March 7, 2010 in Hollywood, California. One of the topics on that episode was about Mo calling out Daniels, Perry, and Oprah (seen in the video below).

Since the initial video, Mo has since responded, saying she isn’t scared, and the reality is that this happened to her. While people were applauding her for taking a stance and speaking out, Bailon on the other hand took things a little differently.

“Why can’t keeping it real be classy?,” she said in the segment. “Why can’t keeping it real be “Let me hold my peace and move on? Why can’t keeping it real be “You know what, they may have done that, but I’m going to respect that and move on? Why can’t that be keeping it real?”

To which Loni Love replied, defending her comedy sister. Stating that this was party of her comedy show, we don’t what happened before or after. 10 seconds of a video doesn’t tell the whole story or set.

Well when Mo’nique finally heard about it, she responded on twitter in an article posted by The Grio.
