The Global Citizen Festival returns for its 10th year anniversary and will take place in New York City and Accra, Ghana on Sept. 24. with various artists for a good cause.
The diverse lineup for the New York City festival includes Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton, Metallica, Charlie Puth, Jonas Brothers, Måneskin, and Rosalía. Global Citizen Festival: Actor, producer, author, and Global Citizen Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas will host the New York Festival.
In Black Star Square in Ghana, the line-up includes Usher, SZA, Stormzy, Gyaki, H.E.R., Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Tems.
More artists will be announced for both locations at a later date.
“Decades of systemic and political failures have led humanity into the midst of converging and rapidly deteriorating crises – climate, hunger, health, war and conflict,” Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO, Global Citizen said. “The most marginalized populations are paying the price of the stagnant inaction of our leaders, and now millions of lives, and the future of our planet, are at stake. We refuse to just stand by and watch! We refuse to accept the starvation of multitudes when solutions are readily at hand.”
These artists will join Global Citizen to call on world leaders, major corporations, and foundations to:
- Empower women and girls and invest $600 million into girls education, sexual and reproductive health and economic empowerment.
- Take climate action to close the annual $10 billion climate financing shortfall.
- Alleviate the global food crisis and provide $500 million to help African farmers respond to the global food crisis.
- Deploy financing to provide urgent relief from crushing debts.

We owe to the next generation to live in a world free from poverty, disease and the degradation of the environment.”
Since 2012, the Global Citizen Festival has become the world’s longest-running global campaign calling for an end to extreme poverty that unites millions of voices, amplified by the world’s most prominent artists, demanding world leaders take action.
