Letoya Luckett Reveals New Album Cover, Title & Tracklist

Letoya Luckett released her latest single, “Back 2 Life” a few months ago, showing off her vocal growth, as well as her acting chops for the video. Luckett has definielty been back to life with not only new music, but new energy.

Luckett displayed the cover on her instagram, where each picture had its own caption, a song title. “Back 2 Life” was released on December 8th, and it’s clear she is expressing her life after marriage and how she is getting “back to life, back to reality.” She sampled Soul II Soul’s classic “Back To Life (However Do You Want It).

“Maybe we’ll survive,” she sings over an airy trap-inspired instrumental. “Maybe it’s a lie / To keep our love alive / But I know you want to ride / So, I gotta get back to life / Back to reality.”

Although she doesn’t exactly state that it is about her ex-husband, they did recently get a divorce after 2 months of marriage. Luckett and her ex-husband, Rob Hillman, finalized their divorced back in August 2016, but was married in January 2016, and split in March. Hillman is an author, entrepreneur, and public speaker.
