Kevin Ross Talks About A “Thing Called Love” with Latest Single

Kevin Ross is back on the scene with his latest single “Thing Called Love.” The slow-groove song, mixed with Ross’ falsetto is a heaven-sent combination.

“Thing Called Love” is Ross’ first single post Motown records, now on his own label, Art Society Music Group. Ross’ label is a partnership with EMPIRE. Ghazi Shami, Founder and CEO of EMPIREstated that “Kevin is a talented and versatile singer/songwriter. We’re excited to welcome him to EMPIRE as he continues to craft timeless R&B music.”

“Thing called Love” was written and produced by Ross (with co-production from frequent collaborator Jerren “J-Kits” Spruill). “’Thing Called Love’ is based off of a relationship I was in that I didn’t feel worthy of,” Ross stated via. a press release.

“I felt like she had it all together and I had a lot more to learn about myself. Instead of me breaking it off, I just let it self destruct. You live, you learn, and do better. Sonically, I’ve always been a fan of 70’s music. I wanted to give some nostalgic feels on this record that could be stretched across all ages.”

“I never was too good at this thing we call love/ But all I know is if you teach me, I know I could be a better man/ Until you showed me all that I could become/ I didn’t know what it was to be good at this thing called love”
