#ICYMI: Wale Enlists J. Cole on ‘Poke It Out,’ Drops Video Ahead of Album Release

Sampling the Hip-Hop classic “Vivrant Thing,” by Q-Tip, Wale teams up with J. Cole again for his new single “Poke It Out.” “Poke It Out” is the third single from Wale’s upcoming album, Folarin II, set to be released Oct. 22.

The uptempo track is something different we’ve seen from the past when these two collaborated. They keep true to the theme of the original while making it modern with their flow and lyrics with a Cool and Dre production. The good time song has a good time video, filled with melanated women of all shades.

“Nigga I’m back on my boss shit, The stick in the Honda Civic we in the car service/I really just mind my business and pray that God sort em, Can’t really be long winded/ You Talkin short money today we not cost cutting,Can you stick it out/ Told me she was quarantined, Them brand new titties out, And it might be a couple weeks to make them bitches bounce/ So I mean it when I be like what’s the turn around, No really turn around, okay
