In an Instagram post, Cardi B announced she would be the first creative director in residence of Playboy, calling it a dream come true.
“Joining the @playboy family is a dream and I know yall are going to love what we put together,” Cardi wrote. “I’m startin this party right as the Founding Creative Director and a founding member of CENTERFOLD the new creator-led platform from Playboy coming soon!! We’re going to have soooooo much fun.”
Playboy called the news of Cardi joining the team a “milestone.” In 2020, the magazine announced it would stop its print publication after 66 years, moving to an all-digital platform.
