Cardi B Donates $8,000 to The Family of Slain 15-Year-Old Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz

Bronx native, and rapper, Cardi B recently donated money to the family of Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz.

After news reports (supported by video) reached the public about the murder of Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz with machetes and knives to his neck on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018; the support for his family and the need for justice came in an outpour.

Guzman-Feliz was murdered by a gang, allegedly, in a case of mistaken identity night in the Bronx. The video shows Guzman-Feliz trying to run to a nearby hospital a few blocks away. He collapsed and died before he could make it. According to ladbible.com, “Derek Grullon, 19, who is in a relationship with Guzman-Feliz’s sister told the paper the gang leader had sent a Snapchat message to the family in which he said sorry for the mistake.”

After the video made its rounds on social media, many people chimed in, one person being Cardi. Cardi posted about the murder with the hashtag #justiceforjunior.

“These Bronx streets are ruthless,” the 25-year-old rapper said on Instagram.

#justiceforjunior ??R.I.P. .These Bronx streets are ruthless .What piss me off the most is that these BX cops be harassing the shit outta people then they see a boy bleeding to death and ask what happen ?“uuuummmmmmmm??? How bout you call the ambulance like ya be calling for back up when ya see nikkas smoking in front of a building !!!!! People be like”call the police!” Call the police!!” But for what the operators be asking you questions for like 4 minutes on the phone with an attitude and the cops come maaa lateeee.”

The Family’s GoFundMe account has surpassed it’s original goal of $15,000, and it’s currently at $163,000+. Cardi has donated $8,000 to the fund.
