Beyoncé Earns Number 1 Album and Song in the Country

After the release of Beyoncé’s seventh studio solo album, Renaissance, she continues her reign as a queen in the game.

After a little over a month, Beyoncé’s song “Break My Soul” rose to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, while her Renaissance album debuted as the number one album across the country at the same time.

Beyoncé is now the second female artist to do this, after Adele. All of the songs off Renaissance have also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is the second time Beyoncé has done this. Lemonade was the first time.

“Break My Soul” is the eighth number one solo song for Beyoncé. Her Renaissance album is the largest debut of the year by a female artist with 332,000 units sold (split into streams and pure sales).
