Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison has passed away at the age of 88. Her legacy is filled with life, love, and endless Black Girl Magic.
For over 60 years, Morrison has written 11 novels, five children’s books, two plays, an opera, and more. She won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012 under Barack Obama.
Her necessary works like Beloved, Song of Solomon and A Mercy helped shape generations, and a culture. Morrison died Monday night, her publisher Knopf confirmed according to reports.
