According to ShadowAndAct.com, Zendaya will be starring in a new movie called “A White Lie,” based around the true story of Anita Hemmings.
“A White Lie” is a film adaptation of the novel “The Gilded Years,” written by Karin Tanabe. Along with producing the film, Zendaya will star and co-produce with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company. Zendaya will star as Hemmings, a light-skinned African-American daughter of a janitor, who passes as white to attend Vassar the 1890s.
Zendaya can be seen next in “The Greatest Showman” with Michelle Williams, Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron due out on December 20th, 2017. She will be a trapeze artist named Anne Wheeler. “The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.”
