After taking off the end of last week due to feeling “flu-ish,” and almost falling again on live television. Before last week, Williams has never missed a day of work for her television show in the last nine years, or in her long span radio career. On october 31st last year, Williams actually fainted on live television, but came back not too long after to finish her show.
Wendy Williams announced today, February 21st, 2018, that she is taking three weeks off due to issues with hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease. For years, Williams has been telling fans about her Graves disease, which is why we’ll see you eyes get big and pop out a lot. However, as she’s getting older, and dealing with stress of the show, running businesses, helping her son plan for college and more; it has taken a bigger toll on Williams than expected. It is the hyperthyroidism combining with the Graves’ disease that is making more health issues for Williams.
Watch the video below for her explanation, and explain her life as only she can. Laughing through the pain.
