Known for having a defining voice in early 2000s R&B, The SRG-ILS Group has officially announced the signing of multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Tweet to its roster as she prepares for a major return to the music scene.
As a soulful storyteller of the early 2000s, Tweet is recognized as a pioneer in the alt-R&B space. On September 11, Tweet will release a re-imagined version of her track “Love Again”
That will be followed by her first official single, “TOOT-TOOT,” which is set for release on September 26.
“I’m very excited to partner with the SRG/Virgin Music family on this project,” Tweet shared. “It’s long overdue, and my fans have waited a very longtime and I’m finally able to share it with the world. CV, thank you for believing in me and I look forward to making history together.”
Her full-length project, The Memoirs of The Southern Hummingbird, billed as “the main entrée,” is scheduled to arrive later this fall.
“Everyone at SRG/ILS is very excited about this project which is the legitimate follow up to the amazing platinum selling album Southern Hummingbird,” said Claude Villani, CEO of SRG-ILS Group. “Tweet’s musicality and vibe remain unmatched. It is a perfect record for people who love real Soul, R&B, and just great music.”
