TV One’s ‘Urban One Honors’ to Celebrate Dionne Warwick, Frankie Beverly, Donald Lawrence and Chlöe

TV One has announced that the 2024 Urban One Honors will celebrate Dionne Warwick, Frankie Beverly, Donald Lawrence and Chlöe as the network celebrates 20 years in business. 

The annual award show honors and celebrates varying artists and celebrities who exemplify Black Excellence in many forms. 

“As we unveil the lineup for this year’s ‘URBAN ONE HONORS,’ we are delighted to highlight the incredible musical journeys of Dionne Warwick, Chlöe, Frankie Beverly, and Donald Lawrence,” Michelle Rice, President of TV One and CLEO TV said. “Their selection as honorees is a recognition of their profound impact on both music and culture, spanning generations.” 

Chlöe recently honored Warwick at the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors and performed her hit “Walk On By.” 

Honorees:

  • Dionne Warwick – Lifetime Achievement Honoree
  • Frankie Beverly – Living Legend Honoree
  • Donald Lawrence – Inspirational Impact Honoree
  • Chlöe – Generation Next Honoree

Teyana Taylor, Bebe Winans, Damon Little, Angie Stone and October London are set to be performers with names to come. There will also be an “R&B Divas” cast reunion alongside a reunion with KeKe Wyatt, Chanté Moore, and Nicci Gilbert. 

GRAMMY™ Award-winning singer and actress LeToya Luckett returns to host the event’s “Backstage Pass,” featuring exclusive interviews with the show’s honorees, performers, and presenters. 

“From soulful ballads to timeless contributions and contemporary brilliance, these iconic artists have not only shaped the musical landscape but have also contributed significantly to the cultural fabric of our society,” Rice said. “Each honoree represents a unique chapter in the story of music, and we are honored to celebrate their enduring legacies at this year’s Urban One Honors: Best In Black.” 

This year’s two-hour telecast theme will premiere during Black History Month on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, on TV One and simulcast on CLEO TV.
