Toni Braxton During Braxton Intervention: “If They Weren’t My Family, They Wouldn’t Be My Friends” (Videos)

If you’ve been watching “Braxton Family Values,” or keeping up with my news postings, then you know the Braxton family has been having problems that during this season, have developed into larger issues.

Ms. Evelyn, Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Michael Sr. are all participating in the Iyanla Vanzant “Fix My Life” session to try and bring the family back together. This season has gotten so bad, it caused a divide between sisters. One being everyone against Traci when she decided not to participate in the walkout of filming the show. Before the walk out decision, Tamar was the odd one out, struggling to deal with her divorce, keeping details to herself and away from the family.

In a few glimpses from tonight’s episode of “Braxton Family Values,” we see Tamar and Vanzant get into it (clip below), which could be the start of Tamar perceiving feeling attacked, and speaking out against Vanzant’s treatment towards her. Tamar expressed her disappointment with Vanzant, saying she tried to sex shame and humiliate her, bringing up traumatic moments from her childhood; having Tamar reveal she had been molested by members on both sides of her family. In turn, Tamar used that moment to create a safe space for victims to share their story.

When it comes to revelations, Toni also reveals something about herself and how she feels about her family in the clip below. “I am confessing,” she begins. “Although I love my family, most of the time, I don’t like my family. Everyone in my family. Everybody. I feel like I’m angry at everyone in my family, I don’t like my family. If they weren’t my family they wouldn’t be my friend.”

You can watch this entire episode play out tonight on WEtv, 9pm est.
