Tauren Wells Announces Release Date for Upcoming Sophomore Album, Citizen of Heaven

(NASHVILLE, TN) – October 11, 2019 – GRAMMY®, Billboard Award-nominated, and DOVE Award-winning triple-threat artist Tauren Wells announces the release date for his highly anticipated sophomore album, Citizen of Heaven.

Citizen of Heaven follows his award-winning debut solo album, Hills and Valleys, which was released oin 2017. During that time, Wells was joining Lionel Richie’s All The Hits Tour with special guest Mariah Carey. Wells’ sophomore album features several award-winning artists like Kirk Franklin, Rascal Flatts, Jenn Johnson of Bethel Music, Steven Furtick of Elevation Worship, and more.

Wells’ GRAMMY®-nominated and critically acclaimed solo debut album, Hills and Valleys, debuted top five on the Billboard Top Christian Charts after its 2017 release. His debut solo single, the album’s title track, was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America®) in 2018. Its accompanying acoustic music video has been viewed over 40 million times.

“I have this unshakable feeling that this album is going to be one of the most important things I’ve ever done,” says Wells. “It just feels special.”

Wells is currently enjoying his first headlining tour, The Hills and Valleys Tour. Tickets are available now with sold out shows in markets such as Atlanta, Nashville, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more. Wells also recently celebrated three nominations for the upcoming 50th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, which will air on TBN Sunday, October 20th at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST.

Citizen of Heaven is available now for pre-order now and will release everywhere January 24, 2020. Two tracks from the new album can be streamed and purchased now: “Miracle” and “Close,” which features Steven Furtick of Elevation Worship.
