Tamar Braxton sat down with Big Tigger at V-103 to discuss new music, the upcoming BET awards and performance, her issues with Toya Wright, and more.
Braxton addressed the back and forth with Wright that erupted on Instagram after a post from Tiny Harris to Braxton’s son Logan on his birthday.
Harris and Braxton have had public problems over the course of the past year. The problems became public, and were originally believed to be due to the fact that Braxton’s friends, Harris, Wright, Kandi, Monica, and Shekinah appeared to host for various weeks on “The Real” after Braxton was let go.
Although, the rumors of Braxton have problems with Monica, Kandi, and Shekinah are still just rumors, Braxton shared the real reason she had problems with Wright, while writing a public apology on Instagram.
“tamarbraxton: Ya know I’ve been thinking ?although I don’t feel like social media is the best place to work out personal issues…sometimes it can be the most effective way to get your love ones attention. I love you guys and Tiny, you…since I was 19 years old. I would have never dreamed that NONE of us would be in this position. Against public perceptions we know it’s NOT because of that show or lies that paperback Toya has said or anyone else who has had something to say about the disagreement you and I have had… because it’s simply OUR personal disagreement. I love you and all my God babies (all the kids) with all of my heart and you know this. I also love your husband @troubleman31 because he is my family also. How about we ALL sit down and talk and declare our new Love and mutual respect for each other and I’ll pay for and sing at your new vowel renewal ceremony. Life is too short and I’m ok with ignoring single, miserable hateful friends who WANT to see you and I at odds and instigating feuds with you and your husband. How about we all come together let it all go and bring you two who were the closest to me and two people who share so much love TOGETHER lean on each other to bring things back together again. ??♀️who said it will be easy but Love and forgiveness is easier than being mad and full of hate. So with that all being said @majorgirl I’m sorry for my part in the hurt and want to have my best friend AND her family Including all of our kids and TIP all back together again❤️

Braxton said on Tigger’s show that the only reason she made a public apology was because of the public birthday post for Logan, and the fact that T.I. stepped in and tried to make them make up. Braxton wanted to address the rumors and speak her truth, stating that she will always love Tiny, but Wright is a different story. Braxton’s issues with Wright weren’t even due to the fact that Wright had dedicated a chapter in her book about Braxton, saying that Braxton blocked her from being on “The Real,” and tried to “expose” her, but, the fact she was hiding her true feelings.
“When I was on that show, she never reached out to me and said she wanted to be on the show,” Tamar said. “Come to find out, she got upset because I didn’t post her last book but I don’t have to tell you Tigger, they don’t want you to tweet about or Instagram about certain things. That’s in your contract. Especially when you work for a corporation. You have to run certain things by them. They didn’t really dig it. I told her what they said. I guess she didn’t believe me or want to believe me.
She’s been going on media tours and wrote a book about how she felt I was a horrible friend,” Tamar revealed, adding that she felt blindsided by the news. “That was hurtful to me because that was the first time I’ve seen it. It was on a radio station. I didn’t know that we weren’t friends.”
Braxton, however, ended the Wright conversation on a lighter note.
“Toya, if you’re listening baby, I have absolutely no reason to stop you from getting your shine on. I want you to win. I love you,” she said. “And for me not to extend those blessings to my friends, which I do, that would be horrible for me. I’m not even that kind of person.”
