After T.C. Carson revealed he was fired from Living Single, he then stated he was lied on, and blacklisted from the industry. He told a story to Comedy Hype about going on an audition, and hearing that his former bosses allegedly lied on him and his craft.
Carson said he received a callback for a part, and spoke with a Black casting director. Everything was fine, until he questioned why Carson was no longer a part of Living Single. Carson’s response was not the same alleged response his former bosses spread in the industry.
“He said, ‘I heard you were difficult, that you came to work unprepared, and I said ‘You know what? This interview is over. Thank you so much for your time,’ and I got up and walked out because I’m not going to let a Black man berate me in front of these white people.”
