Prior to Stan Lee’s passing in November 2018 at the age of 95, he was dealing with issues many outside of his family had no idea about with former business manager Keya Morgan (Keyarash Mazhari).
According to THR, Morgan is also accused of taking more than $262,000 from Lee’s autograph signing sessions. Lee’s daughter requested a restraining order be filed against Morgan prior to his death, alleging that Morgan was manipulating Lee, preventing him from seeing family and friends, and trying to take control of his money and business affairs in his older state of mind.
May 10th, 2019, Morgan was arrested in Arizona on suspicion of elder abuse, among other charges, including alleged felony false imprisonment, theft, embezzlement, forgery, and fraud against an elder adult. All of which were filed in Los Angeles according to ABC.All of the charges had began being investigated in March 2018.
TheHollywoodReporter.com also states that Morgan’s bail is set at $300,000, and is awaiting extradition back to Los Angeles. Last month, Morgan pleaded no contest to filing a false police report. He was ordered to stay away from Lee’s family and residence, along with completing 100 hours of community service, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.
