Erykah Badu has been receiving a lot of backlash after performing in Chicago and speaking on R. Kelly in a loving manner. However, Badu stands by her words, saying people are taking things out of context.
After a clip of Badu’s performance in Chicago went viral, it required Badu to set the record straight given the current attention society is giving to R. Kelly. Badu wanted to send a message of love out to the world, to Kelly, whitch without context, sounds weird. But the clip below is longer than the 15 second viral moment.
Badu has been speaking on unconditional love, talking how every “evil” person has good qualities to them. However, if you feel way, you’re rightfully entitled. Sparkle didn’t understand it either, and called out both Badu & Taraji P. Henson for recent remarks that deemed to show lack of care for his victims. Sparkle wrote to Badu on social media. “Unfortunately, @erykahbadu ‘your brother’ is so far past needing love and support but is instead in need of an honest talkin’ to and some tough love! “
After that initial call out, Sparkle says Badu reached out to her, and they had a conversation. Stating that both artists got clarity on each other’s side. Watch the video below.
