After helping create a $1.3 Billion movie phenomena with “Black Panther,” writer and director Ryan Coogler has reportedly signed on to work with the sequel, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
The superhero film starring Chadwick Boseman, which created a re-emergence and appreciation of traditional African culture within the African-American community, grossed $700 million domestically alone. “Black Panther” is also considered a contender for Oscar consideration.
Coogler and his team reportedly “took its time in making a deal, which occurred under the radar some time ago.” The film is reportedly in development and could begin production in late 2019 or early 2020.
It truly is important for Coogler to take him team to try and recreate the same magic as the first movie. Cooler is also on board to executive produce the “Space Jam” sequel and “Creed 2.”
