After discovering her music, I’ve realized I have fallen in love with nit only her music, but her artistry as a whole. If you watched the Michel’le movie on Lifetime, then you saw Rhyon play her, but like many, it was my first time seeing or hearing of her.
On October 6th, Rhyon released her debut album, “Pretty Girl,” which is much more than just the title. It’s truly an in-depth analysis of who she is and what she’s been through; a glimpse we see into her life.
The 9 song and 3 act album is relatable to many, despite gender, but not only is it the album that’s well produced, but also the short film to go along with the album. Each track and act has its own video to correlate with it. From Rhyon opening up about her goals, life, and insecurities. All while releasing original music, mixed with a few samples.
Now, I do plan on doing a full review after I listen to the album a few more times, but as a whole; its solid, and impressive. Given the state of the music industry, its nice to see real talents and real R&B shine through.
