Another step has taken place to take R. Kelly musically and professionally.
After the Surviving R. Kelly docu-series, many people questioned how Kelly was still around and able to make music all of these years. The driving force to it was him still being signed to one of the biggest labels since the beginning of his career, Sony.
According to Billboard, the company and Kelly have parted ways. “Sony and R. Kelly have agreed to part ways, sources tell Billboard. The news comes on the heels of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly, which detailed allegations of sexual misconduct against the singer.”
As of yet, neither Sony or Kelly have spoken publicly on the split, or even made an official announcement.
