Remy Ma’s assault charges brought on by rapper Brittney Taylor has been dismissed, following an alleged altercation at a benefit concert at Irving Plaza in April.
On December 2, 2019, Ma left the courthouse and revealed her charges had been dropped, and her case dismissed. According to NYDailyNews, prosecutors had a lot of conflicting evidence regarding what happened that night. “Accounts of the night’s events provided by witnesses unaffiliated with Smith or Taylor raised one question too many.” Ultimately, this made the case “impossible to prove.”
TMZ caught up with Ma, who gleamed with excitement about the news. She also revealed that her new project, Reminisce is coming, and she is still working with Fat Joe.
“I wish they would have come to this conclusion before I had an ankle bracelet and lost months and months of wages and had a curfew,” she said. “Before I paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a lawyer.”
