Although there isn’t a Cheetah Girls reboot currently in the works, Raven-Symoné would be down to one with Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, “in a heartbeat.
The Cheetah Girls film debuted in 2003 and became a massive phenomenon and spawned two sequels. Starring Raven-Symoné, Bailon-Houghton, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryant, the films succeeded despite tension amongst the group.
On a visit to eNews, Raven-Symoné spoke with Bailon-Houghton and Justin Sylvester about a potential reboot. While it may not be a reboot with all four girls, Bailon-Houghton said “It would be an amazing Bubbles and Chuchie show.”
“Always with her, forever,” Raven-Symoné said. “But that’s why we did ‘Raven’s Home.’ That’s why we’re here. That’s why anytime she’s doing something I’m down and I know she’s the same for me.”
Bailon-Haughton revived her role as Raven Baxter’s high school enemy Alana Rivera from “That’s So Raven.”
“I think that there is a wonderful thing to just encapsulate something and let it live,” Raven-Symoné said. “You know we are in the era of a reboot … Honey, we love a reboot.”
To which Bailon-Houghton responded, “But we hate it when they ruin it,” followed by Raven-Symoné adding, “And we can’t ruin ‘The Cheetah Girls.’ ”
While the relationship between Bryant and the girls (outside of Williams) is unknown, Williams and Raven-Symoné went on Instagram Live in 2020 and discussed their issues from the past, seemingly squashing their beef.
Williams and Bryant are still best friends. However, Williams and her two-times group mate Bailon-Houghton have not seen eye-to-eye in years, according to Williams in the above IG live.
Since Williams and Bailon-Houghton’s first group, 3LW broke up, the two and former group-mate Naturi Naughton had issues for years.
While Naughton and Bailon-Houghton have made amends, Naughton and Williams have not.
