After news broke on R. Kelly having 10 charges of criminal sexual abuse, many cheered, especially given the fact he had a $1 million bond. However, Kelly has posted bail and will be released soon according to the Associated Press.
According to the court records obtained by The Chicago tribune, “three of the indictments referred to a minor between the ages of 13 and 16, according to the charges.” There are reportedly four people in the recent charges.
On Saturday, February 23rd, Kelly turned himself in following the charges, and articles reported he couldn’t afford the bail. Kelly’s bond was set at $250,000 for each of the alleged victims in the case, but he was required to pay 10% of the total, or $100,000.
Associated Press reported that Kelly will be released within the hour. Kelly denies all claims.
