We all know President Barack Obama loves music; Jill Scott, Beyonce, Jay-Z, The Roots, and more. So his own music festival doesn’t come as a shock. President Obama made this statement on the festival. In that spirit, South by South Lawn will challenge young leaders to build on our progress toward an America that is more tolerant, fair, and full of opportunities.”

South by South Lawn will take place on October 3rd, at the White House, and “will bring together creators, innovators, and organizers who work day in and day out to improve the lives of their fellow Americans and people around the world.” The festival will consist of three parts; interactive, film, and music.
To be able to attend the festival, you have to submit yourself, or be nominated. It is not said how many people will be selected, so everyone has a fair shot.
