Artist Pharrell is switching the city of his Something in the Water festival from Virginia Beach to D.C. for Juneteenth Weekend.
The festival began in 2019 in Virginia Beach but was derailed due to COVID-19 in the following years. Pharrell reportedly moved the Something in the Water festival from Virginia to D.C. because he felt the city was run by “toxic energy” following his cousin being killed by police in 2021.
