Artist Pharrell is switching the city of his Something in the Water festival from Virginia Beach to D.C. for Juneteenth Weekend.
The festival began in 2019 in Virginia Beach but was derailed due to COVID-19 in the following years. Pharrell reportedly moved the Something in the Water festival from Virginia to D.C. because he felt the city was run by “toxic energy” following his cousin being killed by police in 2021.
The lineup of artists will include:
6LACK, Adekunle Gold, Ashanti & Ja Rule, Baby Tate, BIA, Blxst, Calvin Harris, Chloe x Halle, Dave Matthews Band, Davido, EARTHGANG, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Lucky Daye, Pharrell & Phriends, Pusha T, Q, Quinn XCII, Rae Sremmurd, Snoh Aalegra, Syd, Teyana Taylor, Thundercat, T.I., Tierra Whack, Tobe Nwigwe, Usher, and more.
