Offset’s Lawyer Says He Did Not Commit Any Offense And He Did Not Have Any Weapon (Video)


Reports came flying that rapper Offset from the group Migos got arrested in Georgia over gun possession and violating his probation. While now Offset is home, but it appears he may not have been on probation, according to Cardi B, and that he is innocent. 

Offset is allegedly facing 2 felony charges after his car was pulled over Friday afternoon for failure to maintain in his lane, according to CBSNews. Allegedly, the officers “smelled of marijuana, prompting authorities to search the car and find three guns and less than an ounce of marijuana.”

Offset’s lawyer, Drew Findling, spoke with People on behalf of him. “He is concerned, very concerned, about [Cardi B],” Findling says. “Of course his new baby is his top priority as well as his other children.”

Senay Gezahgn, who is Offset’s bodyguard, was also in the car, but as the passenger. Offset was charged with improper lane change, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a felon-first offense, and weapon – possession of during a crime.Gezahgn was also charged with possession of marijuana and weapon-possession of during a crime.

Despite the news reports, Cardi B put up a post on her Instagram story, stating that Offset is not actually on probation.

While picking up Offset, Findling also spoke with 11Alive News down in Atlanta, stating that Offset “didn’t commit any traffic offense, and more importantly, he wasn’t in possession of any weapon whatsoever.” He also stated that this was “an improper arrest” stating he believes in Offset’s innocence.
