Octavia Spencer Will Host SNL For the First Time Tonight!

Fresh off the Oscars stage, Octavia Spencer will take on another stage to showcase her comedic chops while hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time.

Spencer is set to host the show while the musical guest for tonight is  Father John Misty. The duo teamed up with cast member Keenan Thompson to do some funny promo videos

“I loved you in Hidden Figurines, I bet you those figurines are hard to find when they’re hidden well,” Thompson says before Spencer corrects him and gives him a shove.

On Sunday night’s Oscar red carpet, Spencer told Ryan Seacrest she was more scared of the “SNL” gig than the Oscars. “Wish me luck,” she told Seacrest. “I’m leaving first thing in the morning and I’m terrified.” The show airs tonight, Saturday, March 4th at 11:29 pm, est. Check your local stations for listings.
