While many were celebrating Cardi B’s history making Grammy win, some took the petty route, and one of the publications that chose that way was BET, unfortunately.
Just after Cardi had won her Grammy for Best Rap album, BET published an article highlighting Cardi’s rise, while also downplaying Nicki Minaj in the process. A post in which they later took down.
Since the published tweet/article gained traction, Minaj caught wind, and decided to cancel her performances/appearances at the upcoming 2019 BET awards. And took to Twitter to publicly shame BET for what was published.
Minaj also thanked her fans while being in this situation for their continuous support.
