Nick Cannon Shares Why He & Mariah Carey Divorced, His New Child, America’s Got Talent & More

Nick Cannon went on the Wendy Williams Show today (April 27th, 2017) and co-hosted with Williams the entire hour of the talk show.

Cannon was giving his opinion on topics all hour long, ans when it take time for his interview with Williams, he kept the same energy, and kept it real with the audience. Especially while talking about Carey, even stating that all his kids play together, but Carey hasnt met the mother of his newborn child yet.

Some interview Excerpts:

Williams: So why did y’all get divorced?

Cannon: “You want to know the real? I feel like when two people are in a relationship, it should be about growth. It should be about two people becoming better human beings in a relationship. So when you get to a point where there’s no longer growth, and you’re not bettering each other; especially in an household because that’s what marriage is all about. I felt like it was probably best, especially for our children because their the number one priority; if I could be the best human being and best father from outside of that house, that’s why it happened.

Williams asked Cannon about what happened with “America’s Got Talent,” and he stated he left and didn’t get fired, he felt his integrity was tested.

“Honestly, I loved that job. i feel like its one of the best shows on television, but I felt like it was a situation where I was being an artists, I was speaking freely, in humor and satire, and it made some people feel uncomfortable… I was making an observation that they didn’t agree with, and when my charter is placed on the line I got to stand for something… There’s no amount of money worth my dignity.”
