#NewVideo: Lizzo Debuts ‘Special,’ Title Track from Next Album on SNL

After releasing “About Damn Time,” the lead single from her forthcoming album, Lizzo debuted the title track on SNL this past Saturday as the host and musical guest.

Lizzo’s album Special is due to be released on July 15, but she sang the song live with an all-female band, wearing all pink. The single is a song of encouragement and seemingly, a release of self-doubt and pressure from Lizzo.

She not only expresses her inner thoughts, but lets fans know that their individuality, expression and thoughts make them special, even though they may feel alone like she does at times.

Watch Lizzo’s performance below.
