#NewVideo, Janelle Monáe – PYNK

Janelle Monáe just released the third video for her latest single, “PYNK,” which is off her upcoming album, “Dirty Computer.” Following the release of “Django Jane” and “Make Me Feel,” “PYNK” is a video dripping in Black Girl Magic. Monáe delivered a Prince reminiscent song, filled with unique style, lyrics, and representation. Produced by Wynne Bennett, Monáe speaks on the power of “Pynk.”

Pink like the inside of your, baby/ Pink behind all of the doors, crazy/ Pink like the tongue that goes down, maybe/ Pink like the paradise found/ Pink when you’re blushing inside, baby/ Pink is the truth you can’t hide, maybe/ Pink like the folds of your brain, crazy/ Pink as we all go insane…

“Pynk” seems to be a carefree song to the power of women with subtle nods to sexual fluidity. One scene in particular, Monáe is surrounded with dancers wearing pants that resembles the labia, and some with no pants at all.

Check out the pro-woman/sexuality video below.
