#NewMusic, Trey Songz Asks Important Questions on “2020 Riots: How Many Times”

We’re dealing with two pandemics, racism and the coronavirus. With all the protesting going on, we need an outlet. For many, that’s music. Trey Songz has been protesting, and bring awareness to the issues socially, and he did it musically as well.

Songz’s latest single, “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” ask the questions many are wondering when it comes to police brutality, racism, and more. Over just a piano, backed by a choir, Songz’s pain is heard through his tone and lyrics.

“How many mothers have to cry?/ How many brothers gotta die?/How many more times?/ How many more times? How many more marches?/How many more signs?/How many more lives?/How many more times?
